HANOVER, N.H. – The University of Pennsylvania women's lacrosse team cruised to a road Ivy League victory on Saturday, defeating Dartmouth 12-4 behind a career day by freshman

*Block registered a career-high eight points with four goals and four assists. She is just the fifth Ivy League player this season with at least eight points in a game.

Anna Brandt also had four goals in the game, the fifth time this season with at least a hat trick of goals.

Grace Fujinaga, a defender for the Quakers, scored her first collegiate goal during the first quarter.

Madison Jiranek each scored a goal, while Stadler added an assist for a two-point day.

Kennon Moon led the Quakers with six draw controls.

*Penn went a perfect 19-for-19 on clear attempts, the third time this season with an unblemished mark.

*The Quakers forced the Big Green into 17 turnovers, seven of which were caused by Penn.
Sophie Davis and Jiranek led the team with two caused turnovers each.

Krissy Kowalski earned her fifth win of the season in net, making 10 saves. It's the third time this season she made double-digit saves.

How It Happened
Penn scored the first eight goals of the game, spreading them out through the first quarter all the way to the two-minute mark of the second.

In the first quarter, five shots found the back of the net led off by back-to-back goals by Brandt. She was followed by Block for her first of the game before Brandt capped off her fifth hat trick of the season by the 44 second mark of the first frame.

The scoring wasn't done there, as Block sent a quick pass to Fujinaga with nine second left in the quarter for her first collegiate finish.

With a commanding lead through the first, the scoring continued into the second. Block scored three straight in a three-minute stretch late in the quarter, catching passes from Miles, Stadler and Cumiskey to the 8-0 advantage.

The Big Green was held scoreless by the Penn defense all the way to the final minute of the first half, scoring with 44 seconds left before the break.

The Quakers wasted no time at the restart, adding two more goals by Brandt and Stadler that spread the advantage to nine with six minutes left in the third. Again, Dartmouth scored in the final minute of the frame, but Penn carried a 10-2 lead into the final quarter.

In the first six minutes of the fourth, Themelis and Jiranek tacked on their lone goals of the game to get the Quakers out to a double-digit lead and a running clock.

Dartmouth found the back of the net two more times before the final horn.

The Quakers return home next weekend to wrap up the regular season slate, hosting Columbia on Sunday for Senior Day. First draw is set for noon at Franklin Field.
