Men's Squash Trio Named CSA All-America

PHILADELPHIA – Following the completion of team and individual competition for the 2021-22 season, the College Squash Association (CSA) has announced its annual All-America teams. Three Quakers — Andrew Douglas, Aly Abou Eleinen, and Nathan Kueh -- were named with Douglas and Eleinen each earning first-team honors and Kueh receiving second team recognition

All three played pivotal roles in Penn's remarkable season that included the program's first undefeated regular season ever, a program single-season record for wins (18), and the team's first outright Ivy League championship since 1969.

Douglas, who became the first three-time All-America in men's program history in 2019-20, adds yet another accolade to a remarkable resume. Playing his entire career at the No. 1 position in the lineup, Douglas joined Yash Bhargava and Eleinen as the only players in program history to win 50 matches. The Brooklyn native also became just the seventh player in program history to be a four-time First-Team All-Ivy selection. At the CSA Individual Championships earlier this month, Douglas advanced to the A Division semifinals before losing to the eventual National Champion, Victor Crouin of Harvard.

Eleinen capped his remarkable career with a 19-2 record this year, joining Douglas and Bhargava in the 50-win club (and the only one of the three to do so in just three seasons). Eleinen ended his career 53-11, good for an 82.8 win percentage, playing every match at the No. 1, No. 2, or No. 3 position. This season, Eleinen started the year 17-0, including a 3-1 win over Harvard's Marwan Tarek that clinched Penn's win over the Crimson on January 15. Eleinen dropped his only two matches of the year in the Potter Cup Final at the CSA Team Championships and the A Division semifinals of the Individual Championships.

Kueh earned second-team All-America distinction following his victory in the Molloy Cup (B Division) West draw at the Individual Championships. The Ivy League's Rookie of the Year made an impact up and down the lineup this season, winning at least two matches each at the No. 4, No. 5, No. 6, and No. 8 spots. Kueh won his first 11 matches as part of a 15-2 record in team competition before adding four more wins during his run to the Molloy Cup title.

The Quakers will return to action in the Fall for the 2022-23 season.
