NORFOLK, Va. – The University of Pennsylvania men's tennis team rallied from 2-0 and 3-2 deficits for a thrilling 4-3 win over Old Dominion University Saturday afternoon.
Penn lost the doubles point to a Monarch squad that came in 25-8 in doubles matches this Spring, and fell in the first singles match of the day, but roared back with four wins in the final five matches.
Baylor Sai got Penn on the board at the No. 6 position with a three-set win, bookending the match with 6-3 wins in the first and third.
Kevin Zhu followed with a straight-set win at No. 4, evening the match.
After the Momarchs went up 3-2,
Harsh Parikh took tiebreakers in both the first and second sets, evening the match at three, with the No. 1 match deciding the winner.
Edoardo Graziani dropped the first set but responded with 6-3 and 6-4 wins in the second and third sets, respectively, clinching the Quakers' 11th win of the Spring.
