Gymnastics Finishes Fourth at NC State Quad

RALEIGH, N.C. – The University of Pennsylvania gymnastics team finished fourth at the NC State Quad on Friday evening with a score of 194.300.
 
No. 2 Florida won with a score of 197.975 and Rutgers was second at 196.400. The host Wolfpack were third with a score of 195.950 and they were followed by the Quakers.
 
BEAM | Penn 47.775
Rose DeBarberie led the way for the Red and Blue during the opening rotation with a score of 9.750. Rebekah Lashley posted a mark of 9.650 and she was followed closely by Sara Kenefick and Kiersten Belkoff who both recorded scores of 9.625. Campbell Marr was the fifth scorer at 9.125.
 
FLOOR | Penn 49.025
The Quakers had a season-high score on the floor. Connie Hsu tied the best score this season by a Quaker during the floor routine with a 9.875. Hsu's career-best mark led the way for Penn and she was followed closely by Emma Davies who posted a career-high score of 9.825. Sara Kenefick (9.800), Rebekah Lashley (9.775) and Olivia VanHorn (9.750) were the other scorers for the Red and Blue. Lashley's score was a new career-best for Penn.
 
VAULT | Penn 48.775
Olivia VanHorn and Ariyana Agarwala led the way for Penn on the vault as both Quakers had marks of 9.775. VanHorn's score was a season-best and Agarwala score 9.775 or better for the second time this year on vault. Kiersten Belkoff and Connie Hsu both recorded scores of 9.750 and Rose DeBarberie rounded out the scorers for Penn with a 9.725.
 
BARS | Penn 48.725
McCaleigh Marr had another strong showing for the Quakers with a score of 9.800. Isabel Song recorded a score of 9.775 for Penn and she was followed by Sara Kenefick and Sydney Kraez who both posted scores of 9.725. Sarah Penuela-Wermers rounded out the scorers in the event for the Quakers with a 9.700.
 
Up Next
The Quakers close out a busy weekend of action at the University of Maryland on Sunday. The quad features Bridgeport, George Washington and the host Terrapins and is slated to begin at noon.
