Men's Squash Wins First Outright Ivy League Title Since 1969

PHILADELPHIA – The University of Pennsylvania men's squash team, which clinched a share of its first Ivy League championship since 1974 with a dramatic win at Princeton on Saturday, put the finishing touches on an undefeated regular season and claimed the league title outright for just the second time in program history (the first time coming in 1969) with a 9-0 sweep of Cornell on Sunday at the Penn Squash Center.

Ranked No. 1 in the College Squash Association (CSA) poll since the pre-season, the Quakers played like the top team in the country once again on Sunday, dropping just four games on the afternoon, moving to 16-0 while picking up their eighth top-10 win of the season and fifth in a row.

Nick Spizzirri and Shaam Gambhir opened the day's action with a pair of 3-0 wins. Yash Bhargava closed the first wave with a four-game win, closing out the match with an 11-2 victory in the fourth.

After Aly Abou Eleinen opened the second flight with a 3-0 win, and then Dana Santry clinched the match with a four-game win. Saksham Choudhary followed with his 28th straight regular-season win, one day after his 27th straight clinched the Red and Blue's win at Princeton.

Dillon Huang opened the final wave with a three-game win that lasted just 22 minutes. Roger Baddour and Nathan Kueh each followed with four-game wins to close the day's action.
