PHILADELPHIA – The University of Pennsylvania gymnastics team defeated visiting Ursinus, 194.775-188.450, on Sunday afternoon at The Palestra.
The Quakers won their third straight dual meet at home and posted the highest team score at home in program history.
The Red and Blue swept all four events with three Quakers taking home individual victories.
Ariyana Agarwala won the vault with a score of 9.875.
McCaleigh Marr had another strong meet for Penn, winning both the bars (9.775) and the beam (9.875).
Sara Kenefick had the best score on the floor with a 9.850.
VAULT | Penn 49.175
The Quakers had a season-high team score to start the day. The mark of 49.175 was a new program record for Penn in the event. Agarwala had the top score in the event at 9.875 and she was followed closely by
Kiersten Belkoff (9.850),
Rose DeBarberie (9.825),
Connie Hsu (9.825) and
Isabel Song (9.800).
BARS | Penn 48.575
McCaleigh Marr led the way for the Red and Blue on bars with a 9.775.
Kristen Kuhn posted a mark of 9.750 and both
Sarah Penuela-Wermers and
Sydney Kraez had scores of 9.725.
Sophia Restaino was the fifth scorer for Penn with a 9.600.
BEAM | Penn 48.075
Marr backed up her strong performance on the bars by winning the beam with a 9.875.
Campbell Marr (9.725) and Belkoff (9.700) followed behind McCaleigh while
Rose DeBarberie (9.675) and
Natalie Yang (9.100) rounded out the scorers.
FLOOR | Penn 48.950
Penn posted a season-best score during the floor routine.
Sara Kenefick had the highest score in the event with a 9.850 and she was followed by
Marigold Garrett (9.800),
Emma Davies (9.775),
Isabel Song (9.775) and
Olivia VanHorn (9.750).
