PHILADELPHIA – The #2-ranked University of Pennsylvania men's squash team reeled off a pair of 9-0 wins Saturday against #11 Rochester and Haverford from the Penn Squash Center.
In the afternoon session against the YellowJackets,

Rehan Luthra opened the match with wins mere seconds apart, Luthra rallying for four straight points to close out the match from 9-7 down.
Nathan Kueh followed with a close 3-0 win and
Dana Santry closed the opening four-match wave with a 3-1 win.
Hao Cui dropped the opening game of his match to open the second wave, but responded with wins in the next three, clinching the match for Penn, seconds before
Shaam Gambhir closed out his match for the sixth point of the day for the Red and Blue. Playing at No. 1 for just the second time as a Quaker,
Nick Spizzirri won his match 3-0, as did
Tushar Shahani shortly thereafter.
Omar Hafez closed out the session with a hard-fought 3-1 win, taking a marathon second game, 14-12, and the fourth game 12-10, fighting off a game ball down 10-9, closing the match with three straight points.
As was the case with the afternoon session, the evening affair with Haverford started with two wins just seconds apart, coming from
Diego Narvaez and
Brian Cowhey; for Narvaez, the win was his first as a Quaker. Kueh followed with his second win of the day, and
Oliver Green improved to 5-0 this season shortly thereafter. The match-clinching point came from Luthra, who picked up his second win of the day.
Alexander Trauber fought off a game ball and closed his match out with three straight points. Choudhary and Cui bookended wins around
Roger Baddour, as Penn closed out the match with nine 3-0 wins, and each victory wrapped up in less than 30 minutes.
The Quakers wrap the weekend against #13 Chatham tomorrow at 11 a.m. from the PSC.
