How It Happened
The Cornell attack put continued pressure on the Penn defense as it totaled three corners in the first five minutes of play. However, it was Penn that was able to jump in front in the eighth minute. The ball found a closely guarded Sizzy Lawton, who put the ball in front of the goal where an open Glass found the back of the net for the third time this season. Gladu made three saves in the first half to keep Cornell scoreless through the first 45 minutes. Gladu then opened the second half with a pair of saves in the 47th minute, but on the rebound of the second save Cornell was able to get a ball into the back of the net for the equalizer.

Shortly after the equalizer, Penn and Cornell traded shots over the tops of the respective goals in a three-minute span.

The defenses held strong as Cornell was only able to fire off a single shot in a 29-minute span. Gladu played incredible in goal as she made four saves in the second half.
