PHILADELPHIA – The University of Pennsylvania women's swimming and diving team returned to the pool for the first time in the calendar year, competing against Dartmouth and Yale on Saturday afternoon at Sheerr Pool.
Prior to the meet, the Quakers honored their seniors for their contributions to the program.
In her first action of the season,
Catherine Buroker won the 1,000 free with a time of 10:00.33.
Lia Thomas won a pair of events, finishing first in both the 200 free (1:48.73) and the 500 free (4:57.20).
In the diving events held on Friday evening,
Olivia Francella finished second in both the 1M (261.40) and the 3M (251.10) while
Madeline Parker came in third in the 3M with a score of 241.80.

*The Quaker 200 medley quartet of
Hannah Kannan,
Jenessa Schwarz,
Vanessa Chong and
Margot Kaczorowski finished third with a time of 1:45.14

Grace Giddings finished second in the 1,000 free at 10:08.97.

Hannah Kannan was second in both the 100 back (56.41) and the 200 back (2:03.35).

Grace Estabrook finished second in the 100 breast at 1:05.13.

Anna Boeckmann came in second in the 200 breast with a time of 2:20.60.

Catherine Buroker also added a second-place result in the 500 free thanks to touching at 4:58.67.

Vanessa Chong finished second in both the 100 fly (55.73) and the 200 IM (2:04.69).
