NEW HAVEN, Conn. – The University of Pennsylvania men's and women's squash teams split their Ivy League matches with Yale on Sunday afternoon, with the men winning 7-2 in a match-up of two teams in the College Squash Association (CSA) top five, and the #9 women falling to the #4 Bulldogs.
The men improved to 13-0 with their fourth win this season over a top five opponent, and their third in the last two weekends. Yale struck first, taking a 2-1 advantage at the end of the first flight.
Dillon Huang dropped the first game, but rallied to win in five, keeping the Quakers from an early 0-3 hole.
Aly Abou Eleinen,
Saksham Choudhary, and
Nathan Kueh helped Penn take control of the match in the second wave, each winning 3-0, with Kueh taking a hard-fought first game in his match, 15-13.
Andrew Douglas took his No. 1 match 3-0 to open the final flight, clinching the win for the Quakers.
Yash Bhargava followed with a five-game win, rallying from a 2-1 deficit.
Nick Spizzirri closed the out the match with a four-game win. The men have won at least seven matches in 12 of their 13 wins this season.

The Quakers head to the Big Apple on Friday for a 4 p.m. Ivy League battle with Columbia, the fifth top 10 opponent for the men in their last six matches and the fourth top 10 opponent for the women in their last five matches.
