CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – The University of Pennsylvania women's swimming and diving team fell on the road to Harvard, 187-113, in a dual meet on Saturday afternoon at Blodgett Pool.
The Quakers finished Ivy League competition with a 3-4 mark this season after the result with the Crimson.
Penn got off to a strong start with a 1-2-3 finish in the 1,000 free as
Anna Kalandadze won with a time of 9:23.74. She was followed closely by
Catherine Buroker (9:26.23) in second and
Grace Giddings (9:32.14) in third.
Lia Thomas won a pair of events on Saturday, finishing first in both the 200 free thanks to touching at 1:47.08 and the 100 free at 50.55.
Freshman
Vanessa Chong finished in first place in the 200 fly with a time of 2:00.79.
Amelia Girotto won the 500 free with a time of 4:57.55.

Catherine Buroker posted the top time in 1650 free at 16:23.72.

Hannah Kannan finished second in the 100 back with a time of 56.03. Kannan was also second in the 200 back at 2:02.85.

Hannah Liu came in second in the 100 breast at 1:05.58.

Rachel Maizes registered a third-place finish in the 100 beast with a time of 1:05.79.

Joy Jiang was third in the 200 fly at 2:02.49.

Margot Kaczorowski finished second in 50 free with a time of 23.88.

Vanessa Chong added a second-place finish in the 100 fly at 55.98.
