HARTFORD, Conn. – The University of Pennsylvania men's and women's squash teams split their final non-conference matches of the 2021-22 regular season Saturday afternoon, with the men winning 7-2 against #4 Trinity and the women falling 7-2 to the #2 Bantams.
The men improved to 12-0 with their second straight win over Trinity, following a February 2020 win that ended a Trinity win streak that stretched back to 1996.
Nick Spizzirri,
Nathan Kueh, and
Dana Santry got the Quakers off to a fast start, sweeping the first flight, with Kueh finishing his match in just 21 minutes. Both Spizziri and Santry's matches were tied 1-1 through two games, but each closed their match out in four.
Roger Baddour opened the second flight with a 3-0, 28-minute win, putting Penn up 4-0.
Yash Bhargava then clinched the match for the Quakers with a four-game win.
James Flynn fell at No. 2 in a five-game clash that lasted nearly an hour.
Saksham Choudhary and
Aly Abou Eleinen opened the final wave with 3-0 victories.
Dillon Huang played his second five-game match in seven days to close the men's slate, falling 3-2 in a 62-minute-long battle.

The Quakers will remain in Connecticut for a pair of Sunday showdowns with Yale's #5 men's squad and #4 women's squad. First flight is set to start at 12:00 p.m.
