PHILADELPHIA, Pa. – The University of Pennsylvania men's and women's squash teams continued Ivy League play Sunday from the Penn Squash Center. The #1-ranked men swept #11 Dartmouth to improve to 11-0, while the #9-ranked women knocked off the 12th-ranked Big Green, 6-3.
After eight of nine matches against #2 Harvard yesterday lasted at least 50 minutes, the men made quick work of the Big Green, taking all nine matches in 30 minutes or less.
Nathan Kueh got the day started with a 3-0 win playing out of the #4 spot.
Dana Santry followed with a 3-0 win of his own, closing the match with a hard-fought 13-11 win.
Aly Abou Eleinen, who clinched yesterday's match against Harvard, closed out the first flight with another 3-0 win.
Tushar Shahani opened the second flight with a victory after an injury to his opponent at the end of the first game.
Saksham Choudhary closed out the match with yet another 3-0 win and
Nick Spizzirri closed out the flight with a four-game win, the only game Penn dropped all day.
Shaam Gambhir,
Roger Baddour, and
James Flynn closed out the day with 3-0 wins in the final flight.
Up Next
Both the men and women will travel to the Nutmeg State next weekend for a Saturday afternoon match with Trinity and a Sunday afternoon Ivy League match with Yale.
