NEWARK, Del. – The University of Pennsylvania men's tennis team fell on the road to the University of Delaware, 4-3, on Saturday at the Delaware Field House Outdoor Courts.
The Quakers (2-2) dropped the doubles points to the Blue Hens (6-2) and the two teams split the six singles matches.
The Penn tandem of
Harsh Parikh and
Aditya Gupta cruised to a 6-0 victory at No. 2 doubles, while Delaware won the other two matches to secure the first point of the day.
The Quaker won the singles matches at No. 1, 2 and 3.
Jason Hildebrandt outlasted Pierre-Louis Dodens in a three-set thriller at No. 1, while Gupta and
Zach Smith earned straight-set wins at two and three, respectively.
Penn will be back in action tomorrow, hosting Villanova at the Hamlin Tennis Center at noon.
