AKRON, Ohio – The University of Pennsylvania women's swimming and diving team concluded the 2021 Zippy Invitational on Sunday afternoon. The Quakers finished second overall with 1,452 points to fall short of host Akron in the 10-team field.
Lia Thomas had another big day in the pool for the Red and Blue. She won the 1,650 free with a new program, meet and pool record time of 15:59.71. Thomas won the race by more than 38 seconds with teammate
Anna Kalandadze finishing second at 16:37.44.
