COLUMBUS – The University of Pennsylvania's men's and women's fencing teams will continue their season with the Elite Invitational Duals from Ohio State University this Sunday.

Previewing Penn
At the Temple Open back on October 23-24, the teams' only event of the season, numerous fencers posted high finishes.
On the women's side,
Jessica Liang finished 2nd in epee while
Vanessa Dib and
Chloe Daniel finished tied for third;
Katina Proestakis Ortiz took the top spot in foil while
Sabrina Cho and
Talia Becker Calazans finished tied for 6th; in sabre,
Vivian Lu and
Amber White finished 1st and 3rd, respectively. In all, five Quakers finished in the top 25 in epee (out of 87), five finished in the top 25 in foil (out of 95), and three finished in the top 25 in sabre (out of 82).
On the men's side,
Isaac Herbst placed 2nd in epee while his brother
Eliot Herbst finished tied for 3rd.
Bryce Louie defeated teammate
Blake Broszus in the foil final, while fellow Quaker
Eric Yu finished tied for 3rd. In sabre,
Xiteng Lin finished tied for third. In all, six Quakers finished in the top 25 in epee (out of 92), four finished in the top 25 in foil (out of 73), and four finished in the top 25 in sabre (out of 70).
What's in Store
The Quakers will face four schools over five rounds of competition Sunday.
Penn will face Air Force and The University of California, San Diego in Rounds 1 and 2 at 9 and 10:30 AM, respectively. Following a Round 3 bye and early afternoon break, the Quakers wrap the day against Notre Dame (Round 4, 2:30 PM) and the host Buckeyes (Round 5, 4 PM).
