PHILADELPHIA – The University of Pennsylvania swimming and diving teams close out the first semester of action this weekend at the Zippy Invitational hosted by Akron. The three-day event features a 10-team field and will take place at Ocasek Natatorium.

*Lia Thomas currently has the second-fastest time in the NCAA in both the 200 free (1:43.47) and the 500 free (4:35.06). Both of those marks were set on November 20 and were Sheerr Pool records and program records.

*Anna Kalandadze has the top time in the Ivy League in the 1,000 free. She set a new Sheerr Pool record of 9:48.15 on November 20.

*Hannah Liu set a new Sheerr Pool record in the 100 breast with a time of 1:02.37 on November 20.

*The Quaker 400 free relay quartet of Camryn Carter, Bridget O'Leary, Margot Kaczorowski and Lia Thomas have the top time in the Ivy League this season. Their mark of 3:22.70 also set a new Sheerr Pool record.

*Olivia Francella won the 3M diving event with a score of 249.90 at Villanova earlier this season.

*Matthew Fallon is having success in his first season with the Quakers. He currently has the second-fastest time in the Ivy League in the 200 IM (1:49.27), 200 breast (1:55.53) and 100 breast (54.16). His marks in the 100 breast and 200 breast were new Sheerr Pool records.

*Cody Hopkins swept the 1M (320.18) and the 3M (352.95) diving events versus Brown on November 13. He also won the 1M (315.67) at Villanova and the 3M (329.50) in a meet against Princeton and Cornell.
