Bryzgalova and Curnic's play began on Thursday as the Quaker duo was matched up against USC's Snow Han and Salma Ewing. Penn fought hard as both sets went to tiebreakers, but the Quakers lost 7-6(5), 7-6(3) which moved them into the consolation bracket.
Penn's first match in the consolation bracket set them up against the 2021 ITA Cup national champion doubles team of Mae Canete and Christine Canete from Central Oklahoma. Bryzgalova and Curnic earned the win after their opponent withdrew due to injury. That advanced them to the quarterfinals where they defeated the Ole Miss team of Kelsey Mize and Ludmila Kareisová (5-7, 6-4, [10-7]). The semifinals against UVA's Melodie Collard and Hibah Shaikh started the Quakers way as they took first set 6-2, however they lost the second set in a tiebreaker (7-6[2]) and then fell 10-6 in the tiebreaker set.
The ITA Fall National Championship marked the end of the 2021 fall season.
