TOWSON, Md. – Playing its eighth game in exactly two weeks, the University of Pennsylvania men's basketball team was dominated in every facet of its game on Tuesday at Towson. The Tigers had their way on offense and shut down everything the Quakers tried at the other end, rolling to a 76-61 victory at the SECU Arena.
Penn is now 3-5 on the season, while Towson improved to 3-2.

How It Happened
This was a game for much of the first half
At the midway point, the Quakers were up 15-14 thanks to a layup by Dingle and a three-pointer by
Max Martz. However, it had been an ugly 10 minutes, the Red and Blue turning it over far too often and getting punished on the boards.
That started to show. Penn went more than three minutes without a point after Martz' trey and the hosts took advantage, scoring 11 unanswered points to go in front 25-15.
Jelani Williams hit a trey and that seemed to briefly spur the Quakers, who got within 29-23 with 2:42 left in the half. That was followed by another offensive drought, however, and Towson scored the last five points of the period to take a 34-23 lead into the lock room.
Any ideas Penn had of getting back into this game in the second half were quickly dispelled. The Tigers scored eight points on their first three possessions of the period and were up by 25 points at the first media timeout. The lead was 29 by the under-12 timeout and the Quakers were clearing the bench before the midpoint of the half. In all, it was a 29-6 Towson run that took less than nine minutes of game time bridging the halves.
Penn had a 15-1 run over the game's final five minutes that made the final score respectable.
