VILLANOVA, Pa. – The University of Pennsylvania women's swimming and diving team defeated Villanova, 169-120, on Wednesday evening at the Villanova Swim Complex.
The Quakers (1-1) defeated the Wildcats for the fifth time in the last six seasons.
Penn won 11 events on in the meet including the 200 medley relay to start off on a high note. The quartet of

Jenessa Schwarz,
Vanessa Chong and
Lia Thomas won in a time of 1:43.23. The Quakers have won the 200 medley relay in both of their dual meets this year.
Lia Thomas had another strong meet for the Red and Blue, winning three individual events. She touched first in the 200 free (1:47.31), 100 free (51.36) and the 500 free (4:54.49). Both Chong and Kannan finished first in two individual events. Chong won the 200 fly (2:00.66) and the 100 fly (55.08) while Kannan took first-place in the 100 back (57.12) and the 200 back (2:20.59).
