PRINCETON, N.J. – The University of Pennsylvania women's cross country team traveled to West Windsor Fields on Saturday morning for the 2021 Ivy League Cross Country Heptagonal Championships, taking fifth place with 135 points.

Senior captain
Ariana Gardizy led the Quaker pack with a 15th place finish, clocking a time of 21:09.2 on the 6K course. Her time marks the fourth best time in program history at Ivy Heps on the West Windsor course, edging out Erin Feeney's time for 2016 by one second.

Olivia Morganti crossed the finish line in 20th, knocking off 16 seconds from her career-best time in the 6K with a time of 21:24.2.
Lizzy Bader, in her second championship appearance, came through in 31st with a time of 21:49.3, while
Fabianna Szorenyi (21:58.3) and
Niamh Hayes (21:59.5) crossed the line together in 34th and 35th, respectively.

Rounding out the scoring lineup for the Quakers was
Bronwyn Patterson (22:42.6) and
Laura Baeyens (22:45.9), taking 62nd and 65th, in that order, for their first Ivy Heps appearance.
The women turn the page to the NCAA Mid-Atlantic Regional Championship, set for Friday, November 12 at Lehigh University.Â
