PHILADELPHIA – The University of Pennsylvania women's cross country team took the gravel one last time before the Ivy League Heptagonal Championships on Friday afternoon, taking the top five spots at the Haverford Invitational.

Freshman
Bronwyn Patterson earned her first collegiate victory, crossing the finish line in 17:29.6 on the three-mile course. She was closely followed in by
Laura Baeyens for second place with a time of 17:40.2. Wrapping up the top five spots in the race were
Chloe Hassman (18:01.3),
Miranda Schriver (18:25.3) and
Maggie Maier (18:35.0).

Katie Pou cracked the top 10 with a time of 19:19.0 for eighth place, while
Ellen Byrnes wrapped up the Quaker group in 11th, crossing the line at 19:28.7.
