PHILADELPHIA – University of Pennsylvania head women's gymnastics coach
Kirsten Becker has announced her program's Class of 2025 recruiting class. Six young women—Emma Davies, Isabella and Marigold Garrett, Zara Gazdak, Isabel Song and Olivia VanHorn—will join the program next fall as freshmen.
"We are excited to officially welcome this talented group of student-athletes to Penn Gymnastics," said Becker, who was hired as the Quakers' head coach in May after five years as the program's assistant coach. "While they each have personal strengths across the four events, as a group they will bring a variety of difficult skills to our team on vault and floor. Throughout the recruiting process, these six young women have displayed how hard-working and determined they are, both on the gymnastics floor and in the classroom. I am eager to see their impact on the program throughout the years to come!"

Why Penn?
"My first experience at Penn was the summer after my sophomore year when I attended a gymnastics camp. I was extremely impressed by the quality of the gymnastics training facilities and immediately realized that I could continue to improve as a gymnast if I attended Penn. A few months later I got to see the team in action and loved the atmosphere that Coach Becker had created. Finally, when I researched all of the academic opportunities the University offered, I knew for sure that Penn was the place for me."
