PHILADELPHIA - The University of Pennsylvania's Division of Recreation and Intercollegiate Athletics (DRIA) handed out its major intercollegiate senior student-athlete awards on Wednesday night, May 1, in a ceremony held at The Palestra. Five awards were handed out.

In the two most prominent senior awards of the night,
Mark Andrew (Middletown, Ohio/Middletown) from men's swimming & diving was honored with the Class of 1915 Award while women's squash star
Reeham Salah (Sammamish, Wash./Forest Ridge) was awarded the Association of Alumnae Fathers' Trophy.

Presented annually since 1931, the Class of 1915 Award is given to the male student-athlete who best exemplifies the spirit and tradition of University of Pennsylvania Athletics. The recipient must be a senior student-athlete who shows outstanding athletic, academic, and leadership qualities. The academic standard is a 3.0 GPA. Voting on the award is conducted by the head coaches of Penn's varsity men's programs.

The Fathers' Trophy has been given annually since 1945 to the woman who is recognized for her contribution to Women's Athletics at the University of Pennsylvania. The recipient must be a senior student-athlete who shows outstanding athletic, academic, and leadership qualities. The academic standard is a 3.0 GPA. Voting on the award is conducted by the head coaches of Penn's varsity women's programs.

Penn Athletics also announced winners of the Norman J. Goldring and George H. Frazier Awards on Wednesday night. The Goldring Award is given to one graduating male and one graduating female student-athlete with the highest GPA who earned a varsity letter in his/her senior year. The Frazier Award, meanwhile, is given to a graduating student-athlete (male or female) with the highest GPA who competed on one of the following teams: basketball, crew, track, soccer, baseball or football.

Andreas Wang (Brooklyn, N.Y./Stuyvesant) was the male recipient of the Goldring Award, while women's lacrosse player
Lauren O'Mara (Bel Air, Md./C. Milton Wright) was the female recipient. The Frazier Award was presented to
Romie Boyd (Acton, Mass./Acton-Boxborough) from the women's soccer program.

CLASS OF 1915 AWARD – Mark Andrew, men's swimming & diving
Mark was an eight-time Ivy League champion; second-most ever by a Penn men's swimmer, and an 11-time NCAA Championships individual qualifier. He earned first-team All-American this year after advancing to national final in the 400 individual medley at the NCAA Championships, his eighth-place finish being the second-best finish ever by a Penn swimmer at NCAAs. Mark also was honorable mention All-American after finishing 10th in 200 IM at the NCAA Championships this year, as well as 15th in the 400 IM at NCAA Championships his sophomore year. Co-recipient of the Harold Ulen Career High Point Swimmer at this year's Ivy League Championships, Mark was a four-time Ivy League champion in 400 IM, one of three Penn swimmers ever to "four-peat" an event, and he is the Ivy League Championships and program record holder in the event. He also won the Ivy League title in the 200 IM twice, and was a member of Penn's first Ivy League Championship-winning relay team since 1971 when the Quakers took the 400 free relay for the first time ever. Mark holds eight program records, four individually and four as part of relay teams, and his 200 IM and 400 IM marks are also Ivy League records. Mark is a Systems Science & Engineering major in the School of Engineering and Applied Science (SEAS), and he has been Dean's List each of his first three years at Penn as well as a three-time College Swimming Coaches Association of America (CSCAA) Scholar All-America.

ASSOCIATION OF ALUMNAE FATHERS' TROPHY – Reeham (Sedky) Salah, women's squash
Reeham won the College Squash Association (CSA) national individual championship as a junior—Penn's first since 1996—and was a finalist two other times. She was the 2018-19 recipient of the CSA's Betty Richey Award, given to the nation's top female player, and U.S. Squash Athlete of the Year in 2018. Reeham was a two-time Ivy League Player of the Year, the first player in program history to win Ivy League Player of the Year in back-to-back years, as well as a four-time CSA All-America and just the fourth four-time first-team All-Ivy player in program history. Reeham's career match record was 71-7 (15-4 freshman, 18-1 sophomore, 20-0 junior, 18-2 senior) and her career games record was 221-26 (49-13 freshman, 55-5 sophomore, 60-2 junior, 57-6 senior), with a staggering 66 of her 71 career match wins coming by 3-0 game scores. • Appeared in five games as a senior and 24 games overall in his career
• Finished fourth on the team this past season with two sacks, had seven tackles overall (2.5 TFL)
• Helped Penn win CSFL title in 2016 and reach inaugural CSFL Championship Game in 2017
• Three-time Dean's List (Fr., So., Jr.)
• Computer Science major in the College of Arts and Sciences; double minor Economics and Mathematics

GOLDRING AWARD (female) – Lauren O'Mara, women's lacrosse
• A starter in all 15 games this season on defense, has 16 ground balls and eight caused turnovers
• Member of three Ivy League championship teams and has played in NCAAs every year
• 57 career appearances, 60 career ground balls, 38 career caused turnovers
• Three-time Dean's List (Fr., So., Jr.)
• Phi Beta Kappa
• Biological Basis of Behavior major in the College of Arts and Sciences; double minor in BIBB/Health Services Management and Chemistry

FRAZIER AWARD – Romie Boyd, women's soccer
• Coming back from an injury that forced her to miss her entire junior season, played in three games as a senior
• Started all 32 games her first two years, part of a defense that posted 15 shutouts across those seasons
• Penn won Ivy title her senior year, the program's first championship since 2010
• Two-time Dean's List (Fr., So.)
• Double concentration in Wharton School of Business (Statistics and Behavioral Economics)
