PHILADELPHIA – The University of Pennsylvania wrestling team will look to follow up on its first Keystone Classic team title since 2010 with a pair of strong events this weekend.
The Quakers will get things started on Saturday at the Patriot Open in Fairfax, Va. Before heading to State College, Pa. for a dual with reigning national champion, Penn State.

Penn at the Patriot Open
The Quakers will compete in their second straight tournament against a stacked field in Fairfax. American, Bucknell, Columbia, Drexel, Edinboro, Gardner-Webb, George Mason, Lock Haven, Millersville, NC State, ODU, Penn State, Rider, Maryland, Virginia, U.S. Military Academy and West Virginia will all be represented at George Mason's Field House on Saturday.

Penn vs. Penn State
The Red and Blue will face its biggest test of the season this Sunday. The Quakers prepare to trek to Happy Valley for their first dual of the season, lining up against reigning national champion, Penn State.
The Quakers and Nittany Lions have met 23 previous times in dual meets dating back to the first in 1912. The Nittany Lions controlled the beginnings of the series with wins in the first 16 duals, but the Quakers have won three of the last seven meets in the series from 1999-2009.
The most recent dual between Penn and Penn State was in 2009, when the No. 25-ranked Quakers knocked off No. 24 Penn State in Rec Hall, 20-13. The Red and Blue won six of ten bouts including the final three in a row to rally from a 13-10 deficit after 174 pounds.

Notes to Know
- On Sunday, Nov. 24, The Quakers won their first Keystone Classic team title since 2010. Colaiocco claimed the 125-pound crown while Zapf earned the 141-pound title. Fourteen of Penn's 16 placewinners were underclassmen.
- This weekend will be Penn's first dual of the season. The Quakers finished 5-9 in duals last season, including wins over Maryland, Brown, Harvard, Cal Baptist, and Franklin & Marshall.
- Artalona and Colaiocco featured in the top-20 of FloWrestling's latest rankings. Arty enters the weekend ranked No. 10 with a 9-2 record while Colaiocco comes in at No. 10 with a 7-2 record.
- Artalona and Colaiocco have a combined three wins over top-20 wrestlers this season; Colaiocco defeated No. 9 Devin Schroder 5-4 at the MSU Open while Artalona took a 7-4 decision over Ohio State's No. 19 Jaden Mattox and Oklahoma's No. 20 Justin Thomas at the MSU Open.
- Each of Artalona's two losses came by decision. He has one fall and one tech fall this year.
