HOW IT HAPPENED
Harvard grabbed the lead early in the first quarter as a centered ball from the right flank was chipped into the Penn goal. The Crimson doubled its lead later in the quarter, scoring from a penalty corner.
Harvard made it 3-0 with less than five minutes remaining in the half as Mimi Tarrant found the far side of the cage with a shot Just inside the circle.
The Quakers regrouped at halftime and came out stronger in the second half, but the Crimson continued to roll with a pair of goals in the third quarter to make it 5-0.
Just over a minute into the fourth quarter, Penn got on the board. Fagan squeezed a sweet ball between a pair of Crimson defenders to Quinn, who made no mistake as she dribbled around the goalie and scored to make it 5-1.
Harvard responded almost immediately, forcing the ball over the line following an incredible save by
Ava Rosati following a Crimson corner.
The Quakers still had plenty of fight left. With under four minutes of play remaining, Banks found Kelly at the far post following a fancy dribble in the circle. The pass was put on a platter, and Kelly neatly tapped in for the game's final goal.
