NEW HAVEN, Conn. - The University of Pennsylvania women's squash team earned wins at numbers one and two, but were unable to come through on the road against Yale, falling to the Bulldogs, 7-2, on Saturday.
How it Happened
The Quakers got wins from
Reeham Salah and
Jessica Davis at the one and two slots. The Red and Blue's top two players won their matches without dropping a single game.
Julia Buchholz and
Lindsay Stanley lost their first matches of the season. The duo were previously an undefeated 5-0 but each fell in four games against Yale. Buchholz and Stanley both won the first games of their matches, but came up short in final three.
Saturday marked the return of
Haley Scott to the lineup. The sophomore went 9-9 as a freshman and played an integral role in the middle of the lineup. She returned against Yale, but like Buchholz and Stanely, she fell in four games.
What's Next
The Quakers will look to end the weekend on a high note on Sunday when the travel Providence to play Brown.
