#20 Men's Lacrosse Set to Host Saint Joseph's Tuesday Night

PHILADELPHIA – The University of Pennsylvania men's lacrosse team jumps briefly out of Ivy League play on Tuesday night, hosting local rival Saint Joseph's at Franklin Field. The 20th-ranked Quakers and Hawks will face off at 7 p.m.

Tuesday's game will air worldwide on the subscription-based Ivy League Network (ILN), now available on Apple TV, Roku and the ILN app for Android and Apple devices.

The Series
The Quakers and the Hawks have played 14 times previously, with Penn leading the series 13-1. Saint Joseph's got its only win two years ago, a 9-8 overtime win. The Quakers won last year's matchup, 10-5, on Hawk Hill. These teams have played every year since 2010, after not playing since 2002.

About Penn
*Following its 11-7 win over Harvard on Saturday, Penn re-entered the USILA coaches poll on Monday. The Quakers are ranked 20th this week.

*Penn has two players on this year's Tewaaraton Award Watch List, Keating and junior Simon Mathias. Keating also was recently named Midseason All-America Honorable Mention by Inside Lacrosse.

*Mathias continues to lead the Quakers with 40 points (23g, 17a) after recording three goals last Saturday vs. Harvard.

*In addition, Mathias' point-scoring streak is up to 40 games which is every game of his college career, and his 17-game goal-scoring streak is tied for the second-longest in the country.

*Only a junior, Mathias already is 12th on Penn's all-time points list with 127; he needs eight to tie Corey Winkoff (2008-11) for 11th place. His 79 career goals are one shy of tenth place, shared at this time by Todd Minerly (1998-2000) and Michael Page (1975-77).

*Senior Kevin McGeary had four points in the win over the Crimson on Saturday, giving him 30 points this season (22g, 8a).

*Like Mathias, McGeary recently hit triple digits in career points and is currently at 110 (78g, 32a). His 78 goals are 13th all-time and one behind Mathias.

*Sophomore Adam Goldner also had a four-point game against Harvard, and he has 21 goals on the season as well as three assists for 24 points. Junior Tyler Dunn, who scored twice on Saturday, has 20 goals and two assists this season.

*Freshman Sean Lulley had a season/career high of three points against Cornell, scoring once and dishing off two assists. He now has 12 points this season (6g, 6a). Junior Joe Licciardi has ten points (4g, 6a).

*Penn has had two long poles score this season, as All-America candidate Keating scored against Michigan and Yale—amazingly, his 29th and 30th career goals—while Jack Ullrich tallied against Maryland. In the Duke win, Keating had two assists including a feed on the winner.

*Overall, Penn has had 15 different goal scorers this season and 18 players record at least a point.

*At the other end, junior Reed Junkin—the 2016 co-Ivy League Rookie of the Year with teammate Mathias—has a .507 save percentage and a 9.45 goals-against average. He had 13 saves and allowed just seven goals on Saturday against Harvard.
