CAMBRIDGE, Mass. - The University of Pennsylvania women's squash team (6-5, 2-3 Ivy) fell in an Ivy battle on Sunday, this time to No. 2 Harvard, 8-1, on the road. With the loss, the Quakers move to 2-3 in the Ivy, with their only other losses being to Yale and Princeton. Penn will finish its Ivy road matches on Friday when the travel to Cornell before they wrap up conference play on Sunday at Ringe against Columbia.
Earning the lone win for the Quakers was
Reeham Salah. In the battle between the 2016 and 2017 Ivy League players of the year, The Penn junior defeated Sabrina Sobhy in a 3-0 sweep, 11-6,11-6,11-9. Sobhy bested Salah in 2016's Howe Cup final, but Salah has won each meeting since.
The Quakers fell in seven of the remaining eight matches by the score of 3-0.
Marie Stephan won her first game 11-7 before losing the remaining three.
Haley Scott fell just short losing a 12-10 second game.
The Red and Blue will be back in action on Friday when they travel to Cornell for their final Ivy road match. They will then wrap up the regular season at home against Columbia on Sunday.
