HOW IT HAPPENED
The match opened with even play on both sides, with Penn shooting out on attack looking for a score.
Amado Lozano and Bhangdia were both able to find space in the box to send in a shot, but each was blocked by a Dartmouth defender.
The Big Green tallied the early advantage in the 23rd minute on a ball sent into the box from Dawson McCartney, headed home by Tiger Graham. Penn's next best opportunity came in the 41st minute on a ball sent into the box from
Brandon Bartel to
Erumuse Momoh, but again a Big Green defender found himself in the way of the ball and the goal.
Graham struck again for Dartmouth in the 57th minute, scoring his fourth of the season to double the Dartmouth advantage. The third goal of the night came from Kota Sakurai, slotting home a score from Jonny Nierenberg.
The Quakers didn't stop their attack despite the deficit however, and were rewarded for their efforts in the final third with a penalty kick opportunity in the 88th minute. Swenson stepped up to the plate for the Red and Blue and calmly finished past the keeper to get Penn on the board before the end of regulation.
