PHILADELPHIA - The University of Pennsylvania men's soccer team was unable to generate enough offense to keep up with the Mountain Hawks on Thursday, dropping a 3-0 decision at home to Lehigh.
Scott Forbes tallied six saves in the defeat.
KEY MOMENTS
*Lehigh came out the aggressor, tallying three shots in the opening 10 minutes of the game, two of which were deftly saved by junior goalie Forbes. Penn was able to provide a decent counter attack, racking up three corner kicks in the same time span.
*Penn's first and best chance of the night came in the 19th minute as
Sam Wancowicz took a far strike that was tipped and controlled by the Lehigh keeper to prevent a score.
*The Mountain Hawks eventually broke through in the 40th minute on a header from Jack Miskel off a ball sent in from the left from Doyle Tuvesson, sending the Quakers into the break down 1-0.
*It didn't take long for Lehigh to double its advantage, scoring just two minutes after halftime on a strike from Tuvesson, this time from Mark Forrest.
*Despite the deficit, Forbes provided a valiant effort in the cage, before the third and final goal of the night was scored by Forrest in the 57th minute.
*Penn's final real offensive threat came in the waning minutes from freshman
Wes Maki, who squared up for a strong strike in front of goal that was blocked by the keeper to preserve the shutout for Lehigh.

*Sophomore
Promise Adebayo-Ige made the first start of his career on the backline for Penn, playing all 90 minutes.
*
Amado Lozano clocked the first minutes of his collegiate career, entering in the 30th minute for the Quakers and playing the remainder of the contest in the midfield.
*Forbes' six saves were both a season and career-high.
*While Penn was only able to muster four shots on the night, three of them were on goal.
