Women's Rowing Tunes Up With Princeton, Iowa, Syracuse Saturday


PHILADELPHIA – After a busy weekend at the Clemson Invitational, the University of Pennsylvania women’s rowing team closes out the regular-season portion of its schedule on Saturday. The Quakers will make the short trip North to Princeton to face the Tigers as well as Iowa and Syracuse.

All three of Penn’s opponents have ranked Varsity 8 boats – the Tigers are seventh, the Hawkeyes are 11th, and the Orange are 15th. The Quakers, meanwhile, remain unranked after finishing 15th out of 21 boats in the Varsity 8 division at the Clemson Invitational.

Saturday’s races will be the final intercollegiate tune-up for Penn ahead of the Ivy League Championships, which take place on Sunday, May 14 on the Cooper River in Cherry Hill, N.J.

10:15 a.m. – Varsity 8
10:30 a.m. – Second Varsity 8
10:45 a.m. – Varsity 4
11:05 a.m. – Second Varsity 4
11:25 a.m. – Third Varsity 8
11:40 a.m. – Third Varsity 4
