PHILADELPHIA - The Collegiate Sprint Football League (CSFL) has announced the dates and matchups for the 2017 season - along with a new divisional alignment, introduction of championship game and an increase in the playing weight limit for 2017.

With the addition of Caldwell University to the CSFL in 2017, the coaches voted to split the league into two divisions - the North and the South. The North Division will consist of Army West Point, Cornell, Franklin Pierce and Post, while the South Division contains Caldwell, Chestnut Hill, Mansfield, Penn and Navy. The winners of each division - will be decided by each school's record within their division - will meet one week after the conclusion of the regular season in the inaugural CSFL Championship hosted by the team with the best overall record during the season.

Each team in the league will play a seven-game schedule with one bye week, with the exception of Navy in 2017 who will play an eight games. Due to the uneven number of teams in the league, one rotating team will play an eight-game slate each year. The Quakers are slated to play three games at Franklin Field in 2017, hosting Army West Point (9/29), Post (10/20) and Mansfield (11/3). All three kickoffs are scheduled for 7 p.m.

In addition to the new divisional alignment for 2017, the coaches also voted to increase the playing weight from 172 pounds to 178 pounds, and the new league rules have been amended to reflect that both the coaches and the league will evaluate the weight limit every four years.

Week 6 (10/20): Post at Penn, 7 p.m.
Week 7 (10/27 or 10/28): Penn at Navy, TBA
Week 8 (11/3): Mansfield at Penn, 7 p.m.

2017 CSFL Championship Game
