NEW YORK - A steady offensive attack from the 14th ranked Columbia Lions was too much for the University of Pennsylvania men's soccer team to overcome Sunday afternoon, as the Quakers dropped a 3-0 decision, falling to 0-1-1 in the Ivy League.

KEY MOMENTS
*Sunday's game started slowly for both squads, as either side took time in the midfield to test the waters. Columbia pushed up first, earning the first shots of the day in the eighth and ninth minutes.

*Penn's first shot of the afternoon came from Dami Omitaomu on a run-out opportunity who sent the ball sailing high of the crossbar.

*The clock hit zeros in the first half with the score knotted 0-0. Columbia led the way in shots 10-3, but the Quakers found their footing to control possession in the final moments.

*The Lions came out firing in the second half, taking advantage of a slow start to play from Penn. A third-chance opportunity in the penalty box ultimately snuck over the goal line on a shot from Dylan Mott, giving the home team the 1-0 advantage in the 48th minute.

*The deficit would quickly jump to 2-0 on a perfect service from Francisco Agrest to Arthur Bosua in the 55th minute.

*The third goal came soon after on a strike in the 64th minute from John Denis, making the score 3-0.

*Penn had several chances in the final minutes of the contest, including shots from Sam Wancowicz, Joe Swenson, Jake Kohlbrenner and Alex Touche, but the Lions maintained the shutout and the 3-0 win at the final whistle.
