HANOVER, N.H. - Freshman Katy Allen's career-high 17 points led four Quakers in double figures and the University of Pennsylvania women's basketball team outlasted Dartmouth in overtime for a 73-63 win at Leede Arena.

In Penn's fourth overtime of the year, Allen hit her career-best fourth three-pointer as the shot clock expired to break a 58-58 tie with 2:38 left in the extra session.

Senior Jess Knapp, who scored her 500th career point in the game and led the Quakers with a season-high 11 rebounds on two torn knee ligaments, found freshman Kara Bonenberger wide open under the basket for a 65-60 lead with 1:28 to go.

Penn (9-12, 2-5 Ivy) then hit 10-of-12 free throws to seal the game. It was the team's second win in three years at Leede Arena, the first time the program has done that since the 2003-04 seasons.

Bonenberger also finished with 17 points and was one rebound shy of a double-double. Sophomore Alyssa Baron added 14, while freshman Renee Busch hit three three-pointers off the bench and finished with 11.

The Quakers tied a season-high with 10 threes and it began early. Allen hit two in a row to start and gave the Quakers a quick 6-3 lead.

Penn's full court press rattled Dartmouth (3-17, 1-6 Ivy) into five turnovers during a six-minute scoring drought. But the Quakers struggled to score against the Big Green's zone during that time and it remained a three-point game.

Throughout the game, Penn went up and Dartmouth came back. The trend started with two more Penn threes - both from Baron - for a 14-8 advantage at the 9:41 mark of the opening half.

Dartmouth tied it at 17-17, but a pair of buckets from Bonenberger and Busch's second three of the half gave the Quakers a 24-20 edge with 3:23 until the break.

However, the home team came back again and scored seven of the last 10 to tie the game, 27-27, at intermission.

Dartmouth took a quick 29-28 lead to start the second half, but the Quakers scored seven straight - including Knapp's 500th career point and an Allen three - to go up 35-29 with 12:39 left.

Dartmouth again closed the gap. Exactly four minutes later, the game was tied, 37-37.

Penn answered with a 12-4 run behind five different scorers. Baron, Allen, freshman Jackie Kates, Bonenberger and Busch scored in succession for a 49-41 lead with 8:08 to play.

It was a nine-point lead, 53-44, with just 4:41 remaining. But Dartmouth made yet another comeback and tied it at 54-54 with 1:20 remaining.

Kates made two free throws with 38.2 seconds on the clock to put the Red and Blue up 56-54. But the Big Green made the game-tying jumper on the ensuing possession.

Baron's baseline jumper as the clock wound down didn't connect and the game went to overtime - where Penn won for the third time this season in an extra session.

Kates was nearly in double figures as well. She finished with nine points and a team-high four assists with just one turnover in 33 minutes. Bonenberger also had four assists to match a career high.

Penn shot 43.5 percent (10-of-23) from three-point range and was 23-of-56 (41.1%) overall. Dartmouth finished at 42.1 percent (24-of-57) overall, but just 4-of-16 (25.0%) against the seventh-best three-point defense in the NCAA. The Quakers held the rebounding edge at 41-30.

Next weekend, the Quakers finish a four-game Ivy road trip with games at Cornell (Friday) and Columbia (Saturday). Both tip off at 7 p.m.
