PHILADELPHIA - After dispatching Princeton, at the time ranked #64, with a 5-2 win last weekend in New Jersey, Penn travels to Connecticut and Rhode Island this weekend for a pair of matches with Yale and Brown. The Quakers take on the Bulldogs on Friday, April 4 and then head to the Ocean State for a match with Brown on Saturday the 5th.

The win over the Tigers jumped the Quakers up to #63 in this week's ITA rankings. Dartmouth (#61) is the only other Ivy team in the top-75. In the rankings of the top 125 singles players in the country, Ekaterina Kosminskaya is the lone ranked Quaker, coming in at #117 this week. She has played at #1 singles throughout the entire dual season and her record is 5-5. She has three wins over ranked opponents and four of her defeats have come at the hands of nationally-ranked players.

On the doubles side, Kosminskaya and regular partner Julia Koulbitskaya are ranked 27th this week. They have played together in seven matches in the spring, compiling a 5-2 record. Both of their losses have come to ranked teams and they have one win over a ranked team. Kosminskaya and Koulbitskaya are the only Ivy League pair ranked in the top 60 in doubles.

Senior tri-captain Yulia Rivelis is 7-5, playing mostly at the second spot. Two of her wins, however, have come at number one.

Michelle Mitchell is also 7-5, having played everywhere from #4 through #6.

Yale enters the weekend 5-8 overall and 1-0 in Ivy play after defeating Brown, 4-3, last week.

Brown's record is 9-5 overall and 0-1 in Ancient Eight matches. From February 23 through March 28, the Bears won eight matches in a row ? all at home. The winning streak featured four 7-0 wins and four 6-1 wins. Brown will host Princeton on Friday before Penn arrives on Saturday.
