Scott Steiner started working for UPenn Athletics and Recreation in August 2019 as the Coordinator of Facility Operations, and currently serves as the Assistant Director of Recreational Facilities & Risk Management. In his role, he oversees temporary staff that monitor the facility, works with union contracted maintenance and housekeeping personnel for building matters, maintains the fitness equipment for all users, maintains the pool facility, and oversees the Climbing Wall.
Scott graduated from George Mason University with a Bachelor of Science in Economics and a minor in Sports Management. In May 2018, he earned his master’s degree from George Mason University in Sport and Recreation Studies.
At George Mason, Scott was an avid participant in intramural sports and club sports, playing club volleyball for six years while serving as the president of the club for three. He used this involvement and leadership position to realize a career in sports and went on to hold ten different paid and unpaid positions within Recreation.
Outside of Penn, Scott enjoys cooking nightly dinners, gaming, tennis, volleyball, and disc golf.
