Alan Ho began working at the University of Pennsylvania in September 2013. However, before that he worked with the Penn athletic training staff as a student during the spring of 2012, assisting with football, men's and women's lacrosse, men's and women's tennis, men's and women's track & field, gymnastics, the crew teams, and the cheerleaders.
 
In addition to his duties with Penn, Ho also is the medical coordinator for the Pennsylvania Regional Training Center (RTC) which is overseen by USA Wrestling.
 
Prior to his arrival back at Penn and his native Philadelphia, Ho was awarded an NFL/PFATS Ethnic Minority Scholarship and worked as a seasonal assistant athletic trainer with the Kansas City Chiefs in 2012-13. In that job, he assisted in the treatment and rehabilitation of the Chiefs' players.
 
Ho was an athletic training student at Temple University for the spring 2010 and fall 2011 seasons, dealing with a number of the Owls’ intercollegiate teams including football, women's basketball, baseball, and volleyball. In the fall of 2009, he worked at Widener University and worked with several of the Pride's intercollegiate programs including football, men's and women's basketball, soccer, field hockey, track & field, and swimming. Ho also assisted at Friends Select School in the fall of 2010, working with the basketball, soccer, field hockey, wrestling, softball and baseball teams.
 
Ho received his Bachelor of Science in Athletic Training (BSAT) from Temple in 2012.
 
Ho has been a National Athletic Trainer Association (NATA) member since 2011. A Certified Athletic Trainer by the Board of Certification (BOC), he also has certifications in Intravenous Therapy Initiation as well as CPR/AED for the Professional Rescuer and Healthcare Provider from the American Red Cross. Ho also has Instrument-Assisted Soft Tissue Mobilization (IASTM) certification.
