This young man is the quintessential student-athlete, and arguably the most disciplined and intense member of the Penn track and field team.  He has already accomplished some great things in his first two years—a Heptagonal championship in the heptathlon, and USATF Junior All-America honors in the decathlon just to mention a few. What sets Mike apart from his competitors is his hunger to be great. He will be asked to be a more vocal leader in the upcoming season and serve as a mentor to the younger athletes. Hall has been instrumental in the success of the decathlon trio (along with Kyle Calvo and Max Westman). He sets the tone for the workouts and keeps everybody honest. He has a great shot of reaching the NCAA Championships in his junior year and becoming a potential All-America and NCAA Academic All-America. Mike is enrolled in the College of Arts and Sciences with a duel major in chemistry and biology.
