John has been a key contributor in his first two years for the Quakers—he has already been part of an Ivy League championship 4x800 relay team and earned All-East in the 800. He has outstanding physical characteristics and a great spirit about him that easily rubs off on his teammates. Guzman, along with classmate Tim Kaijala, will be looked upon to be the leaders of the middle distance group in the upcoming season. He is a true talent, one whom the coaches believe will blossom when he fully believes in himself. Look for Guzman to challenge the school record in the 1,000 during the indoor season. Guzman is a student in the College of Arts and Sciences majoring in political science.
