Placed second with a collegiate-best indoor high jump of 2.00 meters
(6-6.75 ft.) at the 2010 C-USA Indoor Championships ... Placed second in
outdoor high jump (2.05m/6-8.75) and seventh in long jump
(6.82m/22-4.5) at 2010 Victor Lopez Classic ... Placed fourth in high
jump with an outdoor collegiate-best effort (2.06m/6-9) at Duckett/Rice
Twilight.
Normal University HS:
In 2006, captured the USATF Illinois State high jump title ... Member
of 4x100m relay team that qualified for the 2007 IHSA state meet ... In
2008, runner-up in high jump for AAU Illinois State... Second place in
high jump and long jump in the Cornbelt Conference... Placed 13th at AAU
Junior Olympics for high jump... As a senior in 2009, placed seventh in
long jump at the Illinois Prep Top Times Indoor state meet... Cornbelt
Conference high jump champion, IHSA 2A state high jump champion and
record holder... Team was Cornbelt Conference runner-up in 2008 and
2009... Also, 2009 IHSA sectional and district champions and placed
sixth at the 2009 IHSA 2A State Meet... Academic Honor Roll for three
years in a row and member of class senate.
Personal:
Son of Chika (father) and Uzo (mother) Nnamani ... Older sister Ogonna,
played volleyball at Stanford from 2001-2005 and won the NCAA
championship in 2001 and 2005 ... Also played for the USA volleyball
team in the 2004 Athens Olympics and won a silver medal at the 2008
Beijing Olympics ... Other older sister, Nji Nnamani also played
volleyball at Stanford from 2003-2007 and won the national championship
in 2005, and placed second in 2006 and 2007 ... Older brother, Nnameka
Nnamani ran track for Illinois State (2005-08).
