2006 Indoor Heptagonal Champion (4x800 relay)
Chris experienced a great deal of success running for the Red and Blue during his freshman season. He learned a lot on how to approach running from recent graduate and eight-time Heps champion Courtney Jaworski. Howell was part of Penn’s winning 4x800 relay team at Indoor Heps, and hopes to repeat that effort in 2007. He is again surrounded by great teammates in that area, as he leads a charge of five athletes who could run under 1:50. It should be exciting to see if Howell is ready to step into a more senior role in only his second season. If hard work is an indicator of that, the coaching staff would agree that he is in fact ready. Chris is a student in the College ofArts and Sciences.
