• Competed in the Boston University Bruce Lehane Scarlet & White Invitational (Feb. 2), finishing 14th in the 3,000m, crossing the line in 8:38.71.

• Ran five times, scoring in all five races.
• Placed 18th at Heps, finishing the 8K in 25:07.3.
• Crossed the line 30th at the NCAA Mid-Atlantic Regional.
• Finished eighth in his first race of the season – the Main Line Invitational.
• Ran the 5.2 miles at Penn State’s National Open to finish 32nd.

• Ran in five meets during the 2018 outdoor season as a distance specialist, running the 3,000m, 5,000m and 10,000m.
• Scored at the 2018 Ivy League Outdoor Heptagonal Championships (May 6), placing fifth in the 10,000m.
• Ran the 5,000m at the Penn Relays (April 26-28) and at Ivy Heps.
• Ran a season-best 5,000m time at the Bison Outdoor Classic (April 14), at 14:34.79.

• Competed in two meets during the 2018 indoor season, running both the 3,000m and 5,000m.
• Placed ninth in the 3,000m at the Navy Invitational (Jan. 13).
• Finished eighth in the 5,000m at the Dr. Sander Invitational (Jan. 26).

• Was a key part of the Quaker lineup, racing in all six possible outings and scoring three times.
• Opened the year with two top-10 performances, finishing ninth at the Blue/Gold Classic (Sept. 2) and scoring with a seventh-place mark at the Main Line Invitational (Sept. 15).
• Scored at the Paul Short Run (Sept. 29), placing 45th and fourth among Quakers.
• Was the sixth-finisher for Penn at the 2017 Ivy League Heptagonal Championships (Oct. 27), placing 26th.
• Collected 36 points at the 2017 NCAA Mid-Atlantic Regionals (Nov. 10) as the fourth Penn runner.

• Competed in four meets during the 2017 outdoor season, making appearances in the 1,500m, 5,000m and 10,000m. 
• Took first among all collegiate runners in the 5,000m at the Penn Challenge (March 25) with a time of 14:58.48.
• Placed second in the 5,000m at the Transatlantic Series, notching a time of 14:48.04.
• Competed in the 10,000m at the Penn Relays (April 27-29), finishing 11th.

• Competed in five meets, focusing primarily on the mile and 3,000m.
• Recorded a season-best time in the mile at the Columbia East-West Challenge (Jan. 27), with a time of 4:19.20.

• Competed in five races, placing 10th in his collegiate debut at the Big 5 Invitational (Sept. 9).
• Placed fourth at the Main Line Invitational (Sept. 16), his best finish of the season.
• Led all Penn scorers with a 16th-place finish at the Princeton Invitational (Oct. 15).

High School: All-American ... Placed second at the New Balance Indoor National Championships in the 5,000m ... Nike Cross Country national qualifier. 

Personal: Son of Mary Lou and David Groff ... Enrolled in the College of Arts & Sciences as a biological basis of behavior major.
