in singles overall, including 0-1 in Ivy League play ... Was victorious over Morgan
State's Eric Ward in straight sets and Yale's Zach Dean in three sets to reach
the Flight F final of the USTA NTC Invitational (9/26) ... Defeated Fordham's Ken
Fukomoto in straight sets at No. 3 singles (2/16) ... Went 11-8 in doubles play,
including 8-6 in the spring ... Opened spring with six straight doubles victories,
including a No. 2 doubles win over Fordham (2/16).
2009-10: Finished
the year with a 6-3 record in singles ... Went 2-0 in the spring, with matching
6-2, 6-1 victories over Bucknell (1/23) and Delaware (2/27) ... Went 4-2 in
doubles play, including a 3-1 mark in the spring ... Won his final three doubles
matches, beating Delaware (2/27), UC Riverside (3/8) and Gonzaga (3/11) with
three different partners.
2008-09:
1-4 overall in singles … 0-1 in spring dual matches … 8-4 overall in
doubles … Defeated La Salle’s Morgan Abrams-Nicholas at the City Six
Championships, 6-2, 6-2 (9/20) … With partner Dmitry Bury, won four
matches at the City Six Championships to capture the doubles title
(9/19-21) … Won a 9-7 match in the final over Temple’s Nathan Spunda and
Ricardo Velasquez to capture the crown … All three dual-match wins in
doubles came at No. 3 … Partnered with three different players for his
wins … With Justen Roth, defeated Drexel (1/24) … Teamed with Bury to
defeat opponents from Saint Joseph’s (2/25) … Paired with Jeff Karsh for
a victory over Army (3/30).
2007-08: Saw action at No. 3 doubles against Bucknell (2/10), falling 8-3 with partner Dmitry Bury.
Prior to Penn:
Four-year letterwinner in tennis and named his high school team’s
co-captain for his senior season ... Helped team to MIAA championships
in 2006 and 2007 ... Three-time MIAA No. 2 Singles Champion (2004, ‘05
