Steph Zewe Brennan is in her sixth year at Penn and first as the Director of Compliance. She previously spent two years as the associate director of compliance after four years as the assistant director of compliance at Penn.
In her role, she assists with the day-to-day functions of the compliance office to ensure adherence to institutional, Ivy League and NCAA guidelines. She is responsible for managing the monitoring systems for all aspects of recruiting and season rules and regulations and oversees the compliance office's education initiatives for coach's, student-athletes and outside constituents. She is also the secondary sport administrator for fencing and field hockey.
Brennan has oversight of Name, Image and Likeness programming, coaches’ education, and Teamworks as well as day-to-day compliance efforts.
Prior to arriving at Penn in 2019, Zewe was the compliance coordinator and assistant director of compliance at Penn State for two years. She began her career in athletics as an assistant women's basketball coach at Chestnut Hill College from 2015-17.
Brennan earned her bachelor's degree in business administration from Kutztown in 2013, where she was a captain and four-year letter winner in women's basketball. She earned her master's in public administration from West Chester in 2015.
