Why Penn? “Penn gives me the opportunity to perform and compete at a top level in all aspects of university life, be it academic, athletic, or personally. Penn also was attractive thanks to its world-class academic programs and research opportunities.”
Why rowing? “Rowing is unique in that it allows the athlete to strive for both personal and team excellence. It needs the combination of both personal drive and work ethic to succeed, as well as the need for efficient and cooperative teamwork. Without one of two, success is close to impossible. The bonds and friendships that I have made through rowing have been some of the best and strongest I have ever had.”
