Keenan Perry was hired in (month/year) and is in his first year working with the University of Pennsylvania men’s lightweight crew.
 
Perry—who hails from Annapolis, Md.—is no stranger to the Schuylkill River, as he was an oarsman for Saint Joseph’s University from 2014-17 and served as the Hawks’ commodore as a senior. A three-year stroke for the Varsity Eight, as a senior Perry helped the Hawks win the Knecht Cup, the Bergen Cup and the Murphy Cup. That same year, SJU also earned its first medal at the prestigious Dad Vail Regatta in nearly two decades with a second-place finish and later competed at the IRA National Championship Regatta. At the end of that outstanding 2017 spring campaign, Perry was named the team’s Most Outstanding Performer.
 
Perry is currently a member of the Malta Boat Club on Boathouse Row, and in 2016 he rowed with Vesper’s Under-23 Heavyweight and Lightweight Teams. He also is a Head of the Charles medalist.
 
Perry began rowing as a youngster with the Willem III Rowing Club in Amsterdam, The Netherlands. As a high schooler, he was a four-year member of the Annapolis Junior Rowing Association, earning that program’s Most Valuable Oarsman in 2013.
