DUNNING-COHEN CHAMPIONS FIELD

Dunning-Cohen Champions Field is an oversized synthetic turf facility located along the northwest corner of Penn Park, between Ace Adams Field and the Hecht Tennis Center. The Sprint Turf field includes inlaid lines designed to accommodate football, soccer, men's lacrosse and women's lacrosse. It is equipped with perimeter fencing, end-zone netting and  lights for night activity. In the winter months, a seasonal air structure – otherwise known as "The Bubble" – covers the entire field, creating an indoor training environment for various varsity sports. In addition to remaining an optimal practice space, the field is also designed for both recreational and intercollegiate competition. The Dunning-Cohen Champions Field is surrounded by pedestrian paths, providing a park-like setting that is connected to the core of Penn's campus.

Dunning-Cohen Champions Field was named after James Dunning Jr. W’70 and James Cohen W’80, members of the Penn Athletics Board of Overseers. The facility was built in conjunction with the 24-acre development of Penn Park from 2009 to 2011.
