What is Quaker Qualified?

Quaker Qualified is a new program designed specifically for student-athletes, motivating and preparing them for life after sport. Throughout their time at Penn, students will have the opportunity to achieve key objectives that are defined by three core areas – Professional Development, Mentor and Alumni Connection, and Personal Enrichment. Each objective is specifically developed to motivate, facilitate, and streamline post-graduation planning. Three distinct levels must be completed in order to become Quaker Qualified and upon completion, student-athletes may receive special incentives, recognition, and/or exclusive career opportunities. The mission of the Quaker Qualified program is to provide guidance and develop skills that will benefit student-athletes beyond their time at Penn.

How to become Quaker Qualified:

  • Complete the required objective in each category
    • Professional Development
    • Mentor/Alumni Connection
    • Personal Enrichment
  • Complete two (2) additional objectives of your choice in each category
  • Complete a total of nine (9) objectives per level, three (3) from each category
  • Special recognitions and incentives may be provided upon completion of each level
  • Each completed objective must meet the submission requirements in order to be eligible for special recognition and incentives (incentives to be announced at a later date)
  • For a complete list of instructions, submission requirements and verification materials, visit the "Submission Information, Deadlines & Resources" section to download the official manual
  • Required documentation and verification of completed objectives must be submitted on a per level basis via the submission portal located in the "Submission Information, Deadlines & Resources" section
  • The Center for Student-Athlete Success will not accept partial submissions
  • Each level must be submitted in order:
    • Level 1: Quaker Trained
    • Level 2: Quaker Certified
    • Level 3: Quaker Qualified
  • Please direct all questions to the Center for Student-Athlete Success
