Postgame Notes
  • This marks Penn’s 1,376th football game, continuing their own NCAA record. They have played 50 more games than the second-place Rutgers (1,325) and became the first program to hit 1,300 games played with a Halloween overtime win in 2009 at Brown.
  • The Quakers lost for the first time at home since the 2016 season opener against Lehigh, ending a five-game winning streak at Franklin Field.
  • The loss drops Penn to 10-2 in its last 12 games.
  • One week after rushing for 268 yards at Lehigh, the Quakers were held to just 243 yards of total offense – the fewest under head coach Ray Priore.
  • Kicker Jack Soslow was 2-for-2 on field goals, the first two makes of his career after missing on his first two attempts.
  • Justin Watson had six catches for 55 yards and a touchdown, giving him one receiving touchdown in all three games this season.
  • Watson has caught at least two passes in all 33 games he has played for the Penn Football program. He has already set a school record for consecutive games with a catch and is No. 3 all-time by an Ivy Leaguer.
  • Watson continued his climb up the Penn record books. He now has 2,984 yards – No. 2 all-time by a Quaker. That number is also No. 6 all-time by an Ivy Leaguer. He is just 16 yards away from becoming Penn’s second 3,000-yard receiver and the sixth all-time in the Ivy League.
  • Watson now has 1,981 receiving yards in Ivy League games – moving into No. 9 all-time by an Ancient Eight player. He passed Cornell’s Keith Ferguson (1,976) tonight.
  • Watson now ranks No. 6 all-time in receptions in Ivy League games with 160. He moved up three spots from No. 9 tonight.
